Democrats Less Confident than Republicans Their Votes Will be Accurately Counted

FLEMINGTON, NJ, November 2, 2004 -- Results of a new national poll revealed that while 80% of Republicans were confident that their votes would be accurately counted, only 63% of Democrats were confident that their votes would be accurately counted in today’s election.

The national e-survey was conducted by readmylipz.com, a partnership between Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion (MCIPO) and HCD Research during November 1-2, among a nationally representative sample of 1,145 likely U.S. voters including Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

Among the findings: Note: With 1,145 responders who report they are going to vote today, we can be 99% confident of our overall results, within a range of plus or minus 4%.
